MDT Marat Awdaljan | Master the Single Central with MATISSE Easier-Faster-Predictable

About the course

Single central shade matching is considered one of the most challenging tasks in our daily work, it can cause frustration to both the dental technician and the dentist.

For many years the results we had when making a single central were unpredictable as they were depending on the judgment of the human eye, which cannot perceive and translate the exact shade of the target tooth.

We had to do many trials and repetitive corrections because we didn't have the scientific knowledge and we were missing answers to some valid questions:

• Why crowns end up in lower value than the target tooth

• Which dentin powders we should use to have an identical shade match

• Which skin enamel to choose

• How to successfully recreate the incisal canvas and mamelon structure

• Which substructure to use and in which thickness to choose it, especially when masking the background is essential

• What we should do when we have only 0.5 mm space for our ceramic

• How to have a single central shade match when working on refractory material.

These are all blindspots that we have in the difficult task of making a single central.

In this course, all the blindspots and the dilemmas that you have will be answered and you will gain confidence when making a single central crown. To make this possible you should make use of a shade taking protocol with a DSLR camera and grey card or Optishade Styleitaliano. This will help you to accurately measure the tooth color. Then, the reasonable question is how would you translate the measured tooth color into different kinds of ceramic systems? For this reason, I have created a Shade Matching Software for dental technicians. The name is MATISSE, the acronym for ”Matching Any Tooth In Shade So Easily” ( www.matisse.ai).

With MATISSE and the knowledge of how to use it, achieving a single central shade match will be easier, faster and predictable.

What is Matisse Software?

Matisse calculates and predicts the influence of each layer: substructure, dentin, interanl effects, skin enamel, on top of each other in order to achieve an identical shade match after the first firing. For more info : www.matisse.ai

During the course you will learn:

•How to use MATISSE, the universal shade matching Software.

•A new way to plan the case by analyzing the photos.

• How to choose substructures, ceramic powders, and which skin enamel to use to have a definite outcome and a nature-trusted result.

•How to have predictable results even with a total layering space of 0.5 mm to 1 mm.

•How to have a shade match with a single central veneer on refractory or platinum foil.

•How to take photos for digital shade measuring

•A new approach for ceramic layering to re-create the natural tooth.

•How to control opacity and translucency of the crown

•How to create a natural looking incisal area
