Similarity of Natural Tooth Morphology and the Three Basic Morphologies for Esthetic Prosthetics.

"I believe that tooth morphology is the most important factor in the completion of an esthetic prosthesis. The restoration of a healthy oral cavity, including a beautiful facial appearance, is achieved by reproducing the positional relationship of the tooth and the tooth morphology and surface characteristics of the individual natural teeth.

While the aforementioned factors are responsible for superficial beauty, restoring and maintaining periodontal health is also an essential part of esthetic prosthetics. I strongly believe that this can also be achieved by reproducing the morphology of natural teeth. The natural tooth f morphology has everything that is needed for a prosthetic.

In this lecture, we will observe natural tooth morphology from various angles and consider what kind of morphology a prosthetic should have in order to create a beautiful facial appearance and healthy periodontium. Furthermore, I will explain that natural teeth can be classified into three basic forms according to certain rules, and that these forms (round, acute, and square) have similarities.

In the demonstration, I will explain the characteristics of maxillary mesial anterior teeth and modify their morphology including surface characteristics. In addition, I will show you a demonstration of surface characterization prior to sintering a zirconia crown."
